The academy is designed to support you from day one, helping you ramp quickly, understand your role, and map your path to the next step in your career. Through live workshops, interactive courses, and experiential learning, the program provides a personalized learning pathway that evolves as you progress. In fact, over 50% of our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) graduate to full-cycle sales roles, known as Account Executives (AEs), at Stripe.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I advance between academy stages?


Each stage has a defined “Score to Progress” threshold and a set number of required milestones. You earn points by completing the curriculum, hitting your monthly targets, and participating in optional learning. Once you reach the threshold and complete the required milestones, you become eligible to advance to the next stage.

Does advancement through the program influence the likelihood of being promoted to an Account Executive?


Yes. The Sales Development academy is directly tied to career progression. Completing the program is required in order to be eligible to interview for an Account Executive role.

What are Individualized Learning Paths?


Beginning in Stage 3, the program becomes tailored to your development journey. Instead of generic training, you will receive “smart course” recommendations based on opportunities identified in your SDR 360 Competency Assessment. For example, if you have a gap in objection handling, you will be recommended targeted courses to strengthen that skill.

Are there opportunities to learn at Stripe outside of the Sales Development Academy?


Absolutely. The program rewards active participation in the broader Stripe ecosystem. You can earn credit for activities such as serving as a spin up buddy, hosting peer enablement sessions, and engaging in coaching sessions with your manager.
